Cheaper aftermarket plugs will cause misfires and engine damage. The correct plugs for your engine retail at $38.04 each, so you are right — our system mistakenly listed them higher, and we appreciate the opportunity to correct that. Your estimate also included ASE-certified labor, which is priced to cover proper removal, inspection, torque procedures, and coil testing — not just “unscrewing plugs.” Every repair we perform is backed by a nationwide 3-year/36,000-mile warranty (whichever comes last), which most budget shops cannot offer, and is included in our pricing. Regarding the diagnostic: the $179 charge (plus tax) was accurate and explained at drop-off. This includes full scan testing, inspection, and confirmation of the underlying issue—not just reading a code. We understand that pricing matters, and we respect your decision to compare shops. Just keep in mind that parts quality, technician certification, and warranty coverage can vary widely. We always aim to provide repairs that are safe, correct, and protected long-term.
